The MD Series EB6 is a modern multifunctional medical bed designed for patient care in intensive care units, resuscitation wards, and inpatient departments. Electric adjustment of the main positions improves patient comfort, facilitates treatment and diagnostic procedures, and reduces physical strain on medical staff.

The bed features a four-section platform, an integrated weighing system, electric and mechanical CPR functions, backup battery power, and multiple control panels. Its robust construction supports a safe working load of up to 250 kg.

Functional capabilities
Electric actuators provide smooth, precise adjustment of: backrest angle up to 70°, knee section angle up to 40°, bed height within a 450–770 mm range, Trendelenburg position up to 13°, and reverse Trendelenburg up to 13°. A one-touch cardiac chair function moves the patient into a comfortable semi-sitting position. An auto-regression mechanism shifts the backrest and thigh sections by up to 10 cm, reducing pressure on the patient's body during repositioning. Mechanical bed extension of 200 mm accommodates patients of different heights.

Integrated weighing system
The built-in scale allows patient weight to be monitored without moving the patient from the bed. The system displays the current weight, stores previous readings, and switches between kg/lb units — important for fluid balance control, medication dosing, and tracking a patient's condition over time.

Safety and emergency response
The bed is equipped with a one-button electric CPR function, plus manual emergency backrest-lowering levers accessible from both sides, allowing the sleeping surface to be prepared for cardiopulmonary resuscitation even without power. The nurse control panel supports locking of individual functions to prevent unwanted repositioning by the patient. Additional safety is provided by four sectional ABS side rails, removable head and foot panels, section-position indicators, and protective bumpers.

Convenient controls
The bed is operated via a central nurse control panel at the foot end, panels integrated into the side rails, a handheld patient control unit, and a staff function-lock system. Displays show active functions and section positions. CPR and night-light buttons remain accessible regardless of the main-function lock status.

Mobility and transport
The bed runs on four reinforced 125 mm swivel castors. A central braking system locks all wheels simultaneously, and a directional steering function eases transport through hospital corridors. Protective bumpers reduce the risk of damage to the bed, walls, and other equipment during movement.

Construction and hygiene
The four-section platform is made of metal resistant to regular disinfection. The perforated surface ventilates the mattress. An X-ray translucent section and cassette holder allow radiographic examinations without moving the patient. Head and foot panels and side rails are made of durable ABS plastic with smooth surfaces that are easy to clean and disinfect.

Autonomous operation
A built-in battery provides backup power for electric functions during transport or temporary power outages. The bed includes a charge indicator and night lighting to improve visibility and safety when moving patients in darkened wards.

Equipment
The bed is designed to accommodate: an adjustable IV pole, hooks for urine and drainage bags, a patient lifting pole, an oxygen cylinder holder under the bed, an X-ray cassette holder, and protective plastic bumpers.

Optional accessories
The bed can be equipped with a static pressure-relief polyurethane foam mattress with a waterproof cover, an active pressure-relief mattress system, and a wireless nurse call system with a handheld patient button and a central call display panel.
